Arpana Ajith is a 15 year old tenth grader at Basis Scottsdale. Even though she started off her musical journey with Shri Sharada Ramakrishnan, she is currently a disciple of Shri Syam Krishnan Pillai. She has been learning carnatic vocal for more than a decade. Across Arizona, she has performed at Maha Ganapathi Temple of Arizona and Fine Arts Association of Arizona as well as Youth Artist Development Association. Arpana does not only learn and perform carnatic vocal, however. She is learning Bharatanatyam dance from Srimathy Mohan at the Silambam Phoenix dance school for about a decade and carnatic violin from Shri Mysore V Ambaprasad for more than a decade as well. In January of 2020, she accompanied students of Shri Murali Bhat on the violin at the SVK Temple.  Arpana hopes to expand her musical knowledge and keep performing! 

Arpana has performed for YADA before, in their Fall InZoom Series which was in October of 2020. She also volunteers for the Do It Daily sessions in the Carnatic section of YADA, helping other carnatic vocalists strengthen their abilities.
