Bhargav Chirravuri is currently a sophomore in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at ASU, and is majoring in computer science, with a concentration in cybersecurity. He started learning veena with guru Smt. Vasudha Pappu at the age of 12, after training in Carnatic vocal with Sri Hari Kandadai from age 8. Bhargav performed his Veena Rangapravesam with the guidance and encouragement of Smt. Vasudha Pappu in 2018. Bhargav has also trained as a pianist with Mr. Vanja Nikolovski-Gjumar for 10 years. Additionally, while he was a high school band member at BASIS Chandler, Bhargav played the trumpet, euphonium and trombone. In his spare time, he generally likes to play simulation and combat games while he isn’t busy creating music. He is also politically active, and this past year he was a volunteer for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential election bid.
