Jhanvi Shankar is an upcoming Carnatic singer who is currently in 7th Grade . She has been learning music since she was 4 years old. Her interest has led her to perform in several competitions, bhajans and participate in solo performances for external events, school programs and kutcheris.

She has been awarded the prestigious Bharat Kalachar Scholarship for Vocal music and she has also won several competitions conducted at various sabhas in Chennai. Her hobbies include drawing and reading books.

Jhanvi has been blessed to be mentored by her guru Mrs. Uma Subramaniam who herself is a prolific singer and an “A” grade artist at All India Radio. She has also won several awards such as Sangeetha Kala Praveena, Gana Seva Rathna and many more.
