Kavya Nambiar started learning bharatanatyam when she was 5 years old under Guru Kalashri Asha Gopal. She did  her arangetram in 2015 at the age of 16 and has continued dancing under Guru Asha Gopal ever since.She has participated in multiple productions both in Arizona and around the country .A few of the noteworthy performances were Arathi School’s Magic n movement’,  YADA’s ‘Jagadananda Karaka’, and ‘Nrityantara’ in Bangalore. She is currently a senior at Drexel University studying fashion design. At Drexel she has continued dancing by joining the competitive dance team Jhalak and has competed all over the country.
