Uma Raj-Sankar has been learning Hindustani Classical music from Shri Manu Srivastava, the founder of the Phoenix Gharana for the past five years. She also learns Western voice and piano from Joanna Banta and Bharatanatyam from Pooja Manapat. She is in fifth grade at Bright Beginnings School and in her spare time, she loves composing original pieces for the piano.
